Dear John,
After years of suggestions, U.S. Wellness is
pleased to roll out six chilled
fresh beef packages for your shopping
convenience.
Fresh
cuts will not count towards the 7 pound
and $75 minimum as they will ship from a
third party location since our primary
fulfillment house is frozen storage only.
Orders need to be in by noon
on the first and third Thursday of the month.
Shipping will follow on the second and
fourth Wednesday of the month. Dates are
subject to
change during the roll out learning curve.
We apologize for the limited choices but we
are challenged by fulfillment issues that
need to be very simple and efficient to be
effective.
We suggest the chilled meat be kept as chilly
as possible for safest shelf life. 33 to 36
is the suggested temperature range.
Again, we thank you for you patience as we
have struggled a bit making this plan come
together.
List of six new fresh
chilled beef products are displayed in the
new product section below.
Best regards,
John, Lee Ann, Megan and Lacey on behalf
of the
farm families of U.S. Wellness Meats

Fresh Chilled Beef Tips
97% of the beef sold in the USA is fresh
chilled; consequently, many of you know
the importance of keeping the fridge dialed
down in the 33 to 36 degree range for safest
storage.
U.S. Wellness will wrap the fresh chilled
beef in cryovac barrier vacuum sealed
packaging; consequently, the beef can be
frozen if shelf life time becomes an issue.
No coloring agents have been used;
consequently, the red cherry bloom will
disappear quicker than the typical beef
product purchased at your local market where
coloring agents are used in some situations.
Cooking instructions for fresh chilled will
match up with the cooking instructions in our
online recipe
guide. However, Flavorwave oven owners
should realize that cooking times on chilled
steaks will be less than for frozen steaks.

EMAIL QUESTIONS TO: eathealthy@grasslandbeef.com
.......................................................................................................
Dr. Serrano,
Dear Dr. Serrano,
I recently went for blood work that showed I
had elevated total cholesterol and LDL
cholesterol. Is there any reason to be
concerned about eating grass fed beef and
butter and also raw milk? I am 53 and going
through menopause. My HDL is good.
Thank you!
Karen
.................................................................................................
Dear Karen,
You did not give me your exact numbers;
consequently, I cannot give you any
recommendations. My criteria are very
different than most doctors. Usually when
your LDL is high it can be due to a high
consumption of cheeses or diary products
combined with a lot of carbohydrates and low
Chromium. Because of the above and without
looking at your numbers, I wouldn't stop beef
but I would stop dairy.
Take care,
Dr.
Serrano
