Dear John,
Welcome to 2011! We hope everyone had an enjoyable New Year's
weekend. US Wellness Meats is excited for the new year and to the rewards and challenges
it will surely bring. We would like to thank our loyal and dedicated customers for your
continued patronage and support, and we look forward to serving you and your health needs in
2011.
With the New Year, comes New Year's resolutions. We make
them every year, and most do not stick. Getting in better shape is a goal for thousands
of Americans every year, and eating healthier is an essential part of that resolution.
The typical American diet is contributing to obesity and heart disease at alarming rates.
However, once people become educated about the dangers of their diet, and learn about
grass-fed, nutrient-dense foods and how fat can be good for you, they will not return to their
old way of eating. Our resolution this year is to help as many as possible see the
dangers of their dieting ways. Organizations such as the
Weston A. Price Foundation,
Underground Wellness and
Mark's Daily Apple are great resources for
those looking to improve their diet.
If
you are new to grass-fed eating and not sure where to start, visit our
Best Sellers section online, to see what everyone else is buying. Our
ground beef,
beef franks, and
snack sticks are all proven favorites your family will
enjoy. One of the best things you can do for your health is to add more
organ meats to your diet. An easy (and tasty!)
way to do this is by trying organ sausages. Our
Braunschweiger,
Liverwurst and
Headcheese are all
fully cooked and make a perfect snack with
raw, grass-fed
cheese. Try author Stan Fishman's recipe for a
Festive Liverloaf for a unique way trick your
family into eating organ meats.

Dr. Eric Serrano M.D., M.S.,
B.C. Question and Answer Column
|
Dear Dr. Serrano,
What are
your thoughts on superfoods such as pine pollen, bee pollen, colostrum and deer antler velvet
extract?
Also, is it safe to take Muscle Synthesis and Muscle Recovery along with Innate Response
Multi Food IV? Also would it be safe to mix colostrum powder with Muscle Synthesis and
Muscle Recovery?
Thanks in advance, George_________________________________________
Dear George,
Merry Christmas and
a Happy New Year. I do believe in some of the superfoods you mention including bee
pollen, colostrum, and deer antler velvet extract and yes you can mix them with Muscle
Synthesis and Muscle Recovery. Many years ago I used to say that velvet extract was a
myth but a friend of mine showed me research, and when I say research, I mean a lot, and the
key to it is to buy from a real company. Now my question to you is why are you taking all these super
foods? The antler extract is very specific to certain conditions and not for everything,
colostrum is just plain awesome and I use it in a protein shake called Get Lean, but make sure
is not cooked, and from organic sources like ours, because if it is not then is not worth it.
We have our own bee pollen because we have bees at home, and my kids do all the work so go for
it if you can get it also. Ours is sweet. Again colostrum is awesome, so go for
it.
Good
luck,
Dr. Serrano

Customer Feedback |
Dear U.S. Wellness, I just got my order today. I
decided to stop eating beef a few years ago after learning how the lipid profile of grain-fed
animals are changed due to grain diet. Consequently, I haven't had any beef for
years, I just had a fabulous
steak and I feel like a queen, no make that a king. Although I don't
eat much meat, I was tired of eating organic,
free-range chicken and nitrate-free turkey
bacon. I was very happy with the taste of my beef and can't wait to try the
cheese. RD Columbia, SC |
