Ancestral Exercise
Exercise is an important part of a healthy lifestyle. Our ancestors got a different kind of exercise than most of us get today. They were busy hunting and gathering and in many cases just trying to survive. Today, Americans flock to gyms for training and help with weight loss. Gyms offer access to equipment, training and encouragement. If you're just getting started, having a guide can be helpful. These are all important benefits of gym membership. However, while a gym is great if you have the time and inclination, it's not a necessity to stay in shape. There are some handy dandy ways to exercise that are inexpensive and productive. Home gyms are nice, but they take up a lot of room and can be expensive, especially when they become a clothes line or dust collector. Simple elastic bands are terrific for home and travel. They're portable, durable and inexpensive. There are a multitude of exercises you can do with these bands. They come in a variety of thicknesses so it's easy to increase resistance a little at a time. The old tried and true sit ups and pushups can also be added to the routine. For a little sunshine and cardio, add in a daily walk, jog, basketball, tennis, swimming, or whatever you enjoy.
Once you've combined a healthier diet with an exercise regimen for a few weeks, you will notice the positive effects. For many, that will be encouragement and motivation in itself to continue. Once you've made it a routine for a couple months, the likelihood of it becoming a long term healthy habit becomes higher. If it's been awhile, seek some advice on how to proceed safely. Our normal shipping schedule is Monday - Wednesday. Any order placed after 10 am (CDT) Wednesday will ship the following week. Most orders are delivered to your door within 24-48 hours of leaving our facility. Shipping is free, but we charge $9.50 on every order regardless of size to help defray the cost of packaging materials.
