Nourishing Routines
If you're a parent with teens, you know life can be hectic. This is especially so if they are involved in sports, clubs, band, orchestra, or other outside activities. Between school and activities, there's not a lot of time for anything else. Teens sometimes push the boundaries of their day leaving less and less time for sleep and nutrition. These are two key ingredients for good health that shouldn't be overlooked. It doesn't matter if a person is an athlete or scholar, or both. Nutrition impacts physical and mental aptitude.
If your student is graduating and going off to college, they'll need to be smart about more than just their studies. It helps to reinforce healthy routines now while they're at home to keep them on track, as there will be plenty of fast food temptations to battle. Of course, whether they attend college or not, it's still important to maintain a healthy lifestyle. A lack of sleep or too much junk food can lead to all sorts of health issues. Make sure your student has good nutritious options available. If they're away from home, consider sending them a natural food care package once in a while, or have good food available at home. Talk to our customer service team about ideas and options to keep your student well nourished as they continue their life journey. Customer Service — 877.383.0051

June Featured Chef | Welcome Annika Duden
This month we are pleased to introduce Annika Duden of Built from Bones as our Featured Chef. Annika is a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and helps women establish individualized nutrition and lifestyle protocols to live happy and healthy.
"I have always loved cooking and being in the kitchen, but my passion for recipe creation and development started when I saw a need in my community and for my clients to have access to a variety of healthy, diverse, real-food based recipes. I was so tired of having to alter recipes, and make substitutions for low-quality ingredients often called for in recipes that I began taking matters into my own hands. It really started with finding a bunch of my great grandmother’s recipes from Northern Italy and repurposing them into my first cookbook, Med·abolic, and continued to grow from there!" — Annika Duden, Built from Bones
