Alabama Pastures
"Lost in a sea of tall summer annual cover crop pasture in early September. This mob of cattle is almost invisible in their first pass following a 45 day rest period after the initial grazing. This pasture is 15 miles from the Gulf of Mexico and has been in a severe drought this summer but has still managed to produce good forage in spite of the lack of rainfall. All of the additional solar energy with day after day of bright sunlight builds energy in the forage. Hopefully the rain systems find their way back to one of the highest rainfall areas in the USA by late September."
