We raise more than Beef. Yes, grass-fed, grass-finished beef is where we started over 20 years ago, but we soon added more options and variety to our online offerings. In order to do that, US Wellness owner and fifth generation cattle farmer, John Wood, visited and vetted numerous farms and farm families all over the country to find farms with matching values. John found that there were farmers who had been reaching similar conclusions about big agriculture and the direction it was heading. Food nutrition was waning as factory farms were beginning to use more chemicals, more GMOs, more antibiotics, and cramped, feed lot living conditions for animals, all resulting in stressed animals and lower quality meats. Since the 1950's, cattle farms had begun using more and more grain to fatten cattle prematurely which changes the chemistry of the animal. This change led to animals that often struggle with inflammatory health issues.

Due to John's diligence, US Wellness was eventually able to offer free range, grass-fed Lamb, Bison and Elk, Pastured Heritage Pork, Wild-caught Seafood, Grass-fed Dairy products, and Pastured Poultry. All from farmers devoted to raising healthier animals using sustainable practices. Our South Carolina Poultry farm is run by David White who has taken on the task of raising soy-free pastured chickens and pigs. Chickens are allowed to peck and scratch in pastures using movable Chicken Tractors that provide a safe way for them to roam. His pigs are free-range and thrive on pasture and build nests in the woods on his property. David ships product directly from his farm in South Carolina for us every Tuesday.
