~ FOCUS on the Benefits of Good Nutrition ~
Focus means to pay particular attention to "something". That "something" could be anything. It might be driving a vehicle. It's important to pay attention to all of the other traffic around us when we're driving a vehicle or we may end up in a ditch or worse. If we're distracted or have our mind on something else, we could be in peril. When a microbiologist uses a microscope to focus in on a small particle, they are trying to see detail. When an astronomer uses a telescope to look at the stars, they are focusing in as close as they can to find out more information about the subject star or planet. They want more details. Focus involves attention to details. We tend to focus more intently on issues that are higher priority.
Nutrition plays a key role in our life, health, and wellness. Most would probably include these in a list of top priorities. That should mean that nutrition is something we focus on or pay attention to. Unfortunately, the Modern American Diet is simply MAD. There is so much ultra-processed food consumed, it's no wonder Americans are suffering the ill effects of poor nutrition.
Recent studies have shown that of all the lifestyle choices we make, diet is the leading factor in our health and wellness. Roughly 40% of American adults are struggling with obesity. More than 122 million Americans have high blood pressure. Approximately 38 million Americans have Diabetes. Around 50 million Americans have at least one autoimmune disease. It's estimated that 611,720 Americans will die in 2024 of cancer. So, when we focus on the details of nutrition, we see how important this issue is to our overall health and wellness...our very lives. Look at labels. Compare the ingredients. Choose all-natural, whole foods with the fewest ingredients possible - veggies, and fruits that have been raised without contaminating chemicals and GMOs. Meats raised ethically, as close to nature as possible, with no chemicals, antibiotics, added hormones, or GMOs. These are the details we need to pay attention to if we're going to enjoy the health and wellness benefits of good nutrition. These are the same details our farms focus on when raising the beef, lamb, bison, elk, poultry, dairy, and pork sold at USWellnessMeats.com.
