Straining Budgets
Americans have dealt with budgetary constraints fueled by higher prices on literally everything over the past few years. Inflation is slowly eating the heart out of the American consumer. Inflation is cumulative. In other words, whether the rate goes up or down, it's increasing. We won't get into all the reasons why inflation has gotten worse, but it effects everything and everyone to some extent. Whether it's housing, vehicles, fuel, home improvement, entertainment, daily essentials, consumer goods, or groceries - all have risen in price.
We feel this pressure at home and on the farm as well. Besides the fact that grass-fed, grass-finished, and pasture-raised animals often take at least twice as long to raise before harvest, farmers also deal with increased cost of land, fuel, equipment, maintenance, seed, transportation, wages, taxes, etc. You might be surprised how much farm equipment costs these days - tractors, trucks, utility vehicles, and everything in between. The increase in fuel and land prices has also had a considerable impact on farming.
We will continue to produce the same high quality, all-natural food we're known for, without compromise. We've kept to our founding principles for 24+ years and have no intention of stopping now. With the cost of healthcare rising to astronomical heights, the fuel you put into your body is as important now as it's ever been. Know your farmer, eat healthy, and stay fit.
