Winter hardy rye has performed very well in South Alabama after several very cold January nights. This picture was taken last Thursday afternoon. These cattle could not be happier 15 miles from Gulf Shores.

On the same property a different variety of rye grass shows more cold temperature damage. However these plants will make a quick recovery after heavy rains on Saturday afternoon and warmer weather this week.
