Read this article from Dr. Sears to find your special Red Letter Discount Code and save 15% store-wide. Dr. Sears shares the results of a Consumer Reports study that brings into question factory farms. Whether you're buying FRESH produce or protein, look for family farms that truly practice sustainable farming methods to ensure your food is clean and loaded with good nutrition.
Shout Out | Maypop Farm
We can't fully express how thankful we are for our loyal customers. But, we're also thankful for the farmers who have put their blood, sweat and tears into their farms so that we can enjoy healthy, nutritious foods. Most people don't realize just how much additional effort goes into raising animals using sustainable methods. These efforts replenish the soils, keep water supplies clean and provide for a healthy food source, but they also require more time, energy, resources and wide open spaces.
Maypop Farm is our source for South Carolina, free range, soy free chicken. We're proud of our partnership with David White and his lovely family. David has devoted his efforts to raising the healthiest, best tasting chicken available. We greatly appreciate and are thankful for your efforts David!

You need animal protein to build and repair tissues. It's an important building block of bones, muscles, cartilage, skin, hair, nails and blood. You also use this protein to make enzymes, hormones and other body chemicals.

It's the holiday season. And that means family dinners, parties, and lots of festive fare. And while the season is a welcome time for celebrating - it is also all too easy to overindulge in carb-laden foods.
For most people, that means entering the New Year with a little extra "padding"... not to mention higher levels of inflammatory markers, triglycerides, blood pressure and more...

A busy mom can only do so much, right? So, this recipe is excellent for making two meals at a time. One for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The other for the freezer and a day to be decided. Here's a bonus...put enough of these freezer meals together, and you'll have a week of meals to enjoy a break from meal prep.
Thanks to Featured Chefs, Polly Conner and Rachel Tiemeyer who make up the fabulous duo behind Thriving Home. Polly & Rachel are well-known for their freezer meals and a handy cookbook, From Freezer To Table, that makes the process efficient and fun!
