Journey To The Future
Let's go on a little journey....Imagine it's 2040, less than twenty years from now. The times they are a-changin'. If current trends continue, a steak might not be what we enjoy today. A burger may be something else entirely. Valuable nutrition that comes directly from the earth and its processes may be replaced with contrived, fake food. Even today, much of what passes as food has very little resemblance to real food. Ultra-processed "foods" may look like food, but it is mostly empty calories to fill the belly. Chemical additives might make it pass the taste test, however, you'll need a degree in chemistry to pronounce the ingredients. These "foods" have been so thoroughly processed there is very little remaining that can be considered nourishment.
Factory food production has not been kind to the earth or its inhabitants. While the modern American diet (MAD) has led to health consequences we're only just now understanding, big factory food companies are doubling down with even more processed food patents. Heart disease, autoimmune disorders, obesity, malnutrition, diabetes, cancer, etc are all wreaking havoc on populations. Lobbying efforts by fake food manufacturers will likely increase because there is big money in cheap "food". Remember, like most cheap products, you get what you pay for. Ultimately, the cost may be measured in something other than dollars and cents.
US Wellness will continue to raise animals ethically and responsibly, managing the land with rotational grazing, building healthy soils, encouraging clean water and air by avoiding the use of pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics, GMOs, and growth hormones. If you want to help ensure we all have clean, all-natural, nutrient dense foods to eat in the future, support small family farms with your pocket book and word of mouth. When we love something, we want to share it with friends and family. We ask that you do the same. Our farm families will continue to do their part...you can count on it!
