Happy Independence Day!
July 4th commemorates the passage of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. Thomas Jefferson drafted the document, which was voted on and adopted by the Continental Congress. Fifty-six representatives signed the declaration. While it was a momentous occasion in the colonies, it was considered an act of treason by England. Benjamin Franklin is credited with saying, "We must indeed, all hang together, or most assuredly we shall hang separately. There was a high cost for those who signed the declaration. Five original signing representatives were captured by the British and treated as traitors to the crown. Nine died from fighting in the Revolutionary War. Some had sons who fought and died or were captured. Many more had their homes burned to the ground. Thousands of soldiers fought and died in battle. All of this is to give future generations a chance to have freedom and liberty.
Freedom is not free. It must be defended and appreciated, never taken for granted. Freedom also comes with responsibility and stewardship. We cherish our farmers’ dedication to regenerative agriculture and raising all-natural, whole foods. We see firsthand the benefits of these principles in improving the land, water, and air quality. We hear from our customers daily about the positive effects on their health and wellness. It's a responsibility to our patrons we take seriously as a part of the food chain. We will never promote corporate greed by sacrificing quality. We will never promote fake or lab-generated foods, GMOs, or ultra-processed disease-causing foods. You have our word on it!
For the freedoms we enjoy today, we want to thank the men and women who defend our freedoms on the front lines and those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice to secure the blessings of liberty for us and the generations to come.

Grilling Guide | Prep for the 4th + Grass-Fed Recipes
Grass-fed meats cook differently! Prepare for the 4th with these Simple Tips on cooking grass-fed. Because grass-fed meats contain higher nutrient content (upwards of 5x Omega-3s and 2x cancer-fighting CLA’s), their chemical profile and leaner cut require less time on the heat. It’s always better to take them off a little early than keep them on too long. You can add doneness…but you can’t take it away.
