Road Trip Tips!
Along with everything else, travel has gotten a little more expensive this year. But…do you hear that? The open road might still be beckoning. Summer is a time for weddings, vacations, camping trips, and family outings. We have a few tips to make summer travel more affordable.
1. Plan ahead. A little research goes a long way to reducing surprises. Locate restaurants that serve healthier options. If you're used to eating quality food, a couple of weeks of eating junk food on the road can result in tummy trouble — or worse. If you'll be staying in one place for a while, order a bundle of food from US Wellness and have it delivered to your destination. Call our friendly customer service number for help in planning.
2. More bang for the buck. While quality might cost more upfront, it can also save money in the long run. Just like a well-built vehicle might run for 100K+ miles without needing much besides routine maintenance, nutritious food has more of what the body needs, burns cleaner, and helps avoid future health-related problems. Is it better to buy candy bars, chips, and sugary drinks along the road OR bring along some healthy snacks like snack sticks, nuts, and carbonated naturally flavored water?
3. Maintenance. Before heading out on the backroads or interstate, you always need to ensure the family truckster has been checked. Car trouble on the road can be more expensive than at home and far more inconvenient. Maintaining your body is the same way. It’s the only body you get! Eat healthy daily, and you'll be far more prepared down the road, in the later years.

Lifestyle | Gut Health and Diabetes
It was Hippocrates, the Father of Medicine, who told us over 2000 years ago that “All disease begins in the gut”. The World Health Organization predicts that diabetes will be among the top 10 causes of death globally by 2030. And while blood sugar imbalances due to a high-sugar diet are certainly to blame, research now shows a deeper cause in this epidemic – one that goes far beyond blood sugar… Read more...
