Twas the Night Before Christmas

The day before is nearly always full of contagious joy. Hopes and excitement abound for what is to come. Whether it's a holiday, graduation, celebration, vacation, retirement, or some other special occasion, the expectations are what give us a sense of thrill. Couple that with the traditional sights, sounds, and smells of the holidays, and it's no wonder children (young and old) look forward to Christmas.

The holidays have always been an opportunity to reconnect with family and friends, something that has taken on new significance over the last few years. We have so much to be thankful for here in America. When the lights are twinkling, our bellies are full, the aroma of savory dishes still hanging on the air — let's remember all that we have and all who came before who gave us good foundations to build upon. Let's remember the hope, joy, and peace that surrounds this time of year. Merry Christmas and God Bless!
