Creating Delicious!

One of the really fun things we do around here is our Featured Chef program. We have the opportunity to share some of the most talented and creative chefs, foodies, nutritionists, and home cooks in the country with our patrons and blog and newsletter readers. We've been doing this for well over ten years and every month you'll find a new person occupying that role. That's over 100 chefs we've had the pleasure of introducing you to and we keep all of their featured recipes archived on our site for easy access. 

It's such a delight to see what they'll come up with each month. Some of these talented recipe creators are inspired by cultural traditions. Others will have recipes passed down through the generations of their family. Many of us will have a great grandmother, or someone in the family who gained a reputation for a certain special dish that was enshrined in a very special, sometimes secret recipe book. We are the fortunate recipients of many of these shared recipes. We also have Featured Chefs who inspire us with their very own dishes they've developed over years of experimentation in the kitchen.

Sometimes, these Featured Chefs have developed their own brands, cookbooks, or even restaurants. We truly are in a unique position, as curators of some of the finest proteins on the planet, to work with these extremely talented individuals. This month is no different. We are happy to introduce Chef Kirsten Sandoval, who has her own line of amazing healthy meal starter sauces. You may have already had the pleasure of using one of her starter blends. Her brand is known as Mesa de Vida. Kirsten's line of sauces are globally inspired and come from a desire to merge healthy recipes and convenience with complex flavors from all over the world.
