Mississippi River Town

US Wellness Meats is headquartered in Canton, Missouri. Canton is a Mississippi River town of 2,500 people. Firmly situated in the heart of the Midwest, Canton is primarily an agriculturally centered, rural community. If you try to find us on a map, you'll need to zoom in quite a bit, but we're there. Right in the northeast corner of Missouri across the river from Illinois and just south of the Iowa border. In some circles, this area might be considered "fly over" country. To us, it's home! Most of the 45 or so employees have grown up in this area. The John Wood family has been farming here for several generations. John is one of the founding members, a fifth generation cattle farmer, and the managing partner here at US Wellness Meats. His son, Johnny is a sixth generation farmer and manages our grass-fed lamb farm.

While relatively small compared to the large commercial operations that have stock market ticker symbols, we've gotten fairly accustomed to serving a wide range of professional athletes, entertainers, celebrities, world class chefs, fitness trainers, influencers, and even champion sports teams. It's especially encouraging to know that many of these folks have come to us looking for healthier, nutrient dense food to increase their performance on the field and improve overall health and wellness. While it's fun to hear that we're serving well-known, famous people, we're just as proud to know that our food is being served at family dinner tables in small towns and big cities all over the country. On US Wellness farms, we raise animals the way nature intended and that results in some of the most delicious and nutritious foods on the planet.
