Delight Your Guests
Easter comes early this year, Sunday, March 31st. Easter follows closely behind St. Patrick's Day as an early spring holiday. It's another opportunity to gather together with friends and family over a good meal. Will you be hosting or attending a family get together? Families celebrate together in different ways, but it almost always centers around food. Some families will have carry-ins. Carry-ins are one of our favorite memories from childhood. You knew which aunt would bring your favorite homemade pie or other dessert, and you could always count on a variety of savory dishes made with love from recipes that had been passed down from one generation to the next. If you have a cherished, well-worn, dog-eared recipe book, you know how valuable these secret family recipes can be. Maybe you had a grandmother who cooked from scratch, by memory, and never wrote anything down. If there are special dishes you don't want to be lost to history, you might want to spend some time jotting down these recipes. It's not uncommon for families to lose recipes because they were never written down. There really is no substitute for delicious and a lost recipe can be a tragedy of epic proportions.
If you want to delight your guests, or see smiles on happy faces enjoying the dish you bring this year — remember, it all starts with quality ingredients. Sure, you might be able to save a couple bucks on your meat and veggies at the big box store. But, you never really know where it comes from and how it's raised. Is it loaded with antibiotics, pesticides, and herbicides? Are the animals raised on feedlots or in tight quarters with no regard for animal health or stress? Yes, you could buy your meat from the same place you buy toilet paper in bulk, but consider a healthier alternative. Small, regenerative farms — like US Wellness — raise animals in healthy, natural environments with plenty of room to roam and graze on native grasses. Our farms do not use pesticides, herbicides, GMOs, antibiotics, or added growth hormones, so you know you're getting clean, wholesome food. Learn more about regenerative farming on our Discover Wellness Blog. We hope you consider shopping with us for all of your family gatherings, and regular meals as well.
All the Best, Team USWM

Picanha
Brazil is so obsessed with this cut of beef that it’s nicknamed it the “queen of steaks”. It is the perfect blend of what we all look for in a steak: tender, flavorful, and affordable.
