Holiday Roasts + Bonus Wings
If you have holidays with extended family, it's always nice to catch up with those we don't see very often, but the one thing we usually do first is to check out the table of food - the "spread", if you will. Carry-ins are the absolute best holiday traditions. Did your aunt Ruth bring her famous apple pie? How many varieties of potatoes are there? Is it turkey, or will there be a roast or ham...or all three. Oh, happy days if it's all three! These are the questions we start thinking about the closer we get to the day. If you're hosting or bringing food to a carry-in, remember you have special ninja cooking skills available to you. You may say, "wait, I didn't know I had ninja skills". If you have a pressure cooker / slow cooker, air fryer, or infrared oven in the kitchen, you have ninja skills. That's right, you're not limited to the oven. Put the turkey in the oven to do it's thing, then break out your favorite kitchen appliances. These tools will not only ease the stress of cooking. They will also help you make the most of holiday food prep.
We are here to help. If you will be preparing food for more than your immediate family, consider the following:
How many people will you be feeding? This will determine the size and variety of roast, ham or turkey you need. Lots of mouths means more meat. Need a little more? Try one of our bigger roasts like our Heart of Shoulder Beef Roast, Pork Sirloin Roast, Whole Beef Tenderloin, Leg of Lamb, Lamb Shoulder Roast, Standing 4-6 Rib Roast, or for really big gatherings - the Small Roasting Pig. Need a little less, consider a Chuck Roast, Beef Loin Roast, Pork Shoulder Roast, Sirloin Cap Roast, Rack of Lamb, Mini Ham, or Standing 2-3 Rib Roast.
Another great option, especially when time is tight, is to purchase our Pre-cooked Heat and Serve BBQ Pulled Pork, Shredded Beef, Beef Pot Roast and Gravy, or Hickory Smoked Sliced Beef. Purchase as many pounds as you need. Small groups may only need 3 lbs, while larger groups might require 5-10 lbs of pre-cooked meat.
